Welcome to Saltlick Labs’ new website. You may run into a few bumps and hiccups while we continue to work on the site this week. A lot of exciting things are happening and we’re rolling out major updates to all of our products very soon.

If you bought our products in the past and have been waiting patiently for updates, we wanted to take this time to thank you for your support. Saltlick Labs is a self-funded mobile software development company and after launching our initial products, we had a lot of interest from potential clients. Unfortunately we’ve lacked the resources to tackle both fronts, but we’re finally making headway and big announcements are coming soon. Here’s what to expect in the very near future:

Little Black Book 2.0 is in the approval process. If you want to get a sneak peak of what’s coming, check out our new website for it at BlackBookExclusive.com. It could take another week or two before it’s approved, but this price is jumping to $4.99 so we suggest you purchase the current version before if you want the best deal.

Pocket Workout 2.0 is under development, we expect another 30-45 days before it’s available on the iTunes AppStore.

BreakkUp.com is on our radar but we’re not sure how we’re going to approach it. We’ve experimented with roughly 4 alternative platforms and content management systems for BreakkUp 2.0 and while each have excelled in their own way, we’ve haven’t found a great alternative to Pligg. Pligg 1.0 is actually a 10x fold improvement over their .9 beta but we’re not sure it’s the right CMS for long-term potential. However, we are pushing another minor update to the BreakkUp iPhone app in the very near future.

We’d appreciate it if you reported any website bugs you find in the comments below. Thanks again!

- Saltlick Labs’ Team

We apologize for the slow blog activity recently, product developments and publishing opportunities has kept our hands tied. We’ll be making exciting announcements in the coming months, and working to find additional developers and resources to speed up development cycles. We recommend following Saltlick Labs on Twitter (@saltlicklabs) for more immediate updates. Last week we introduced two product updates:

Pocket Workout 1.2 includes support for Twitter and added a new section for motivating each other to finish basic exercise goals. It was recently reviewed on MacWorld’s iPhone Central.

Little Black Book 1.1 features a new UI for personal details, and numerous improvements to the advice section. Check out the screenshots on the iTunes AppStore.

Last night I had one of the best nights of sleep since 2009, and I think my body has finally reset from last week’s cold and allergies. I’m fortunate to start off Monday in this regard as this week will be very challenging. Here’s the results from this morning’s exercise:

I haven’t felt this great in awhile — mentally and physically — considering the workload we have going on right now at the office. I’m not going to lie, there are days I really don’t feel like doing my routine but I’m glad I’m sticking it out. Forming regular exercise habits can definitely be difficult, but after every exercise the endorphins flowing throughout definitely make me happy that I did my routine. Next step is to get into the habit of doing my routine the moment I wake up.

Day 18: Eight Workout

Dropped the ball today and a little disappointed in myself but only missed push-ups by 1. Friday is the last day of the Challenge, and I’m going to do the workout first thing in the morning. Hopefully my endurance is a little better.

Day 20: Last Workout

Tried to get all stars across the board on my last day, but killed my endurance for pull-ups and missed pretty bad. Oh well, check out the before and after photos — I’m pretty happy with the results. We’ve got a few bugs to iron out that we’ve discovered during this process, but otherwise I will continue doing a slightly modified version of the Hacker Workout from here forward. Shift my exercises around for a few weeks, upper body needs more focus.

We also need to add something more rewarding for finishing a routine. We have a good idea for it, but it’s going to take some work to integrate. Look for it in future updates.
