If you bought our products in the past and have been waiting patiently for updates, we wanted to take this time to thank you for your support. Saltlick Labs is a self-funded mobile software development company and after launching our initial products, we had a lot of interest from potential clients. Unfortunately we’ve lacked the resources to tackle both fronts, but we’re finally making headway and big announcements are coming soon. Here’s what to expect in the very near future:

Little Black Book 2.0 is in the approval process. If you want to get a sneak peak of what’s coming, check out our new website for it at BlackBookExclusive.com. It could take another week or two before it’s approved, but this price is jumping to $4.99 so we suggest you purchase the current version before if you want the best deal.

Pocket Workout 2.0 is under development, we expect another 30-45 days before it’s available on the iTunes AppStore.

BreakkUp.com is on our radar but we’re not sure how we’re going to approach it. We’ve experimented with roughly 4 alternative platforms and content management systems for BreakkUp 2.0 and while each have excelled in their own way, we’ve haven’t found a great alternative to Pligg. Pligg 1.0 is actually a 10x fold improvement over their .9 beta but we’re not sure it’s the right CMS for long-term potential. However, we are pushing another minor update to the BreakkUp iPhone app in the very near future.

Pocket Workout 1.2 includes support for Twitter and added a new section for motivating each other to finish basic exercise goals. It was recently reviewed on MacWorld’s iPhone Central.

Little Black Book 1.1 features a new UI for personal details, and numerous improvements to the advice section. Check out the screenshots on the iTunes AppStore.

In coming weeks, Saltlick Labs’ products will receive an update that includes our new customer support service. Customers will have access to user manuals, latest news, and soon the ability to submit feedback, bugs, and features requests directly from their iPhone or iPod Touch. Until the update is made available to your product through iTunes, you can access the iPhone support application by navigating Safari to support.saltlicklabs.com. Please be advised that the support application is still under development and you may experience hiccups from time to time.

Faced with multiple challenges securing a position on the AppStore, we ultimately concluded that this process was unsuitable for everyone. Due to the heavy demand for publishing on the iTunes AppStore, some developers (and companies) have experienced month-long of delays costing thousands of dollars in sales while unnecessary expenses pile on.
